Let’s change the world

Dear society,

Providing education to your children does not justify empowerment.

Understanding them mentally and supporting them emotionally is also needed.

This is between you and me.

You and me.

“Don’t make young girls believe that

they need to pick between beauty and brains,

When they can have both.

Don’t make young boys believe that

Wounds on skin are an achievement and show of strength.

Start teaching young girls that

Waxing, make up and clothing is their decision.

Start teaching young boys that

Waxing, make up  and clothing is their decision.

Teach people about their privilege,

because women who require feminism doesn’t realise that it exists.

Teach people about their privilege,

Because men, rarely ever, get paternity leaves.

Ask for strong female protagonists in movies,

Who don’t have T-shirts too tight or uncomfortable super hero costumes.

Ask for strong female protagonists in movies,

Who can inspire young men.

Ask for strong male protagonists in movies,

Who don’t have huge biceps or eight pack abs.

Instead of teaching boys not to hit girls,

Teach them not to hit anyone.

Instead of teaching girls that their end goal in life is to marry,

Let’s teach them, that the end goal in life is to be successful.

Dear everyone,

Please don’t tell me that I am foolish for having such a vision.

Just a little bit more of us being accepting.

Just a little bit more of us being aware.

This bubble consists of more than just you and me,

And it’s time we started to care.

Dear everyone,

I am one of the many overly optimistic teenagers.

This world is changing little by little.

We all believe in  a better tomorrow,

And it’s time that you and me did too.

Don’t get feared by the thought of how can you change the world.

I’ll say,

Change one life,

Change one thought,

Change one mindset

And the world will change on its own.”
